David Victorson, PhD

Dr. Victorson is a licensed health psychologist, Associate Professor of Medical Social Sciences and Director of Research at Northwestern Integrative Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.Dr. Victorson’s clinical and research pursuits have focused on measuring and improving quality of life in people with cancer and other chronic medical conditions through mixed-methods and patient-centered methodologies, as well as psychosocial, bio-behavioral and mind-body approaches. His specific interests include mindfulness interventions; symptom management support using eHealth technologies; developing patient reported outcomes tools using item response theory (IRT); and reducing health disparities through community engaged research.He received his PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami.
