Managing the physical and emotional challenges of aging can be complicated. The good news is that yoga can be extremely beneficial for a wide variety of age-related ailments and can lead to improved health and well-being.
Join yoga therapists Kimberly Carson and Carol Krucoff for a discussion of their new book, “Relax into Yoga for Seniors: A Six-Week Program for Strength, Balance, Flexibility, and Pain Relief.” Based on the pioneering Yoga for Seniors program offered at Duke Integrative Medicine, their “Relax into Yoga” approach is specifically tailored to meet the needs of older adults and people with health challenges.
Carol and Kimberly are co-directors of the Integrative Yoga for Seniors teacher training, which has been offered since 2007 at Duke Integrative Medicine. Their mission is to make yoga practices appropriate and available for older adults.
