Mindfulness Programs

Mindfulness programs are structured courses or sessions that aim to teach individuals the practice of mindfulness, which involves paying deliberate and non-judgmental attention to the present moment. These programs are designed to help participants reduce stress, enhance overall well-being, and develop skills for managing emotions and improving their quality of life.

Mindfulness programs are valuable for individuals seeking to reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and enhance their overall quality of life. They often incorporate various mindfulness techniques, including meditation, breathing exercises, and body scans, to help participants develop mindfulness skills that can be applied in their daily lives. The choice of program may depend on individual goals, preferences, and availability. Here’s a more detailed overview of some of our mindfulness programs:

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR):

  • Duration: 9 weekly sessions.
  • Session Length: 2 ½ hours each.
  • Format: Conducted in person.
  • Description: MBSR is one of the most well-known mindfulness programs. It was developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and is designed to teach participants mindfulness meditation techniques to reduce stress and improve their ability to cope with physical and psychological challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Distance Learning:

  • Duration: 9 weekly sessions.
  • Session Length: 2 ½ hours each.
  • Format: Conducted virtually through Zoom.
  • Description: This program offers the same curriculum as traditional MBSR but is delivered remotely, making it accessible to a broader audience.

Day of Mindfulness:

  • Duration: 8 hours on a Saturday.
  • Session Length: One day; 8 hours.
  • Format: Conducted via Zoom or in person.
  • Description: A Day of Mindfulness is an immersive experience where participants engage in mindfulness practices for an extended period. It provides an opportunity for deepening mindfulness skills.

Mentoring Mindfulness: Deepen Your Personal Practice:

  • Duration: 6 months; weekly sessions
  • Session Length: 1 ½ hours each week
  • Format: Conducted via Zoom
  • Description: This course allows for participants deepen their mindfulness practice with the help of a mentor, environment, and reflection. MBSR is a prerequisite to this course.

Experiencing Mindfulness:

  • Duration: Meets weekly; no weekly commitment required
  • Session Length: 1 hour drop in
  • Format: Conducted in person and virtually via Zoom
  • Description: Weekly drop-in meditation where participants have the opportunity to deepen their mindfulness practice in a community setting. No experience required.

Cultivating Kindness:

  • Duration: 8 weekly sessions.
  • Session Length: 1 ½ hours each.
  • Format: Conducted virtually through Zoom.
  • Description: This program focuses on cultivating compassion and kindness through mindfulness practices. It can help participants develop greater empathy and emotional well-being.

Deepen Your Sense of Connection and Belonging Through Mindfulness:

  • Duration: 3 weekly sessions.
  • Session Length: 1 ½ hours each.
  • Format: Conducted virtually through Zoom.
  • Description: This program may explore how mindfulness can deepen one’s sense of connection and belonging, fostering a greater sense of community and well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Relationship Enhancement:

  • Duration: 8 weekly sessions
  • Session Length: 2 hours each
  • Format: Conducted virtually through Zoom.
  • Description: This program is designed to improve interpersonal relationships by incorporating mindfulness practices. It can help participants enhance communication, empathy, and connection with others.

Mindfulness in Nature:

  • Duration: 4 weekly sessions
  • Session Length: 2 hours each
  • Format: Conducted in person
  • Description: This program is designed to explore mindfulness while bringing in nature and the four elements. The instructor will lead you through mindfulness practices in nature to connect with the environment and promote well-being.

Meditate to Wellness:

  • Duration: 7 weekly sessions
  • Session Length: 2 hours each
  • Format: Conducted virtual via zoom
  • Description:  This program is designed to incorporate mindfulness techniques to assist with nervous system regulation. The program utilizes gentle yoga, mindfulness meditation, and, loving kindness meditations to ease immune system responses.
