Deborah Lee, PhD, RN

Instructor, Duke Health & Well-Being Coach Training Program

Deborah is a Duke Certified and National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and President of Better Choices Wellness.  She has an expansive career of over 35-years working in a variety of health care settings.  Her roles have spanned working as a hospital and home care nurse, researcher, university professor, public health professional and health care administrator in the U.S. and Canada.

Deborah is the co-creator of programs providing integrative health coaching with mindfulness practices for workers in hospital settings, and workshops that support the development of self-compassion skills.  She has a private health coaching practice, is an instructor in the IHCPT Foundation and Certification programs, is an Approved Mentor for the International Consortium for Health and Wellness Coaching, and is the NHC Chair of Excellence in Nursing in the School of Nursing at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, where she resides.
