Lori Knutson

Lori Knutson is Senior Director of Healthcare System Redesign, Whole Health Institute and Chopra Research Library. Ms. Knutson served as the Associate Vice President for Health and Well-Being at Duke University Health System and Executive Director of Duke Integrative Medicine and served as the Director of Duke Leadership Program in Health and Well-Being.  In addition to Duke Integrative Medicine, her responsibilities included the Duke Diet and Fitness Center and the Duke Health and Fitness Center. Prior to her work with Duke, Ms. Knutson was the Corporate Administrative Director of Integrative Health and Medicine for Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey. In this role she established a network-wide integrative health and medicine program and services including outpatient clinics, inpatient services, community outreach, and research.

In 2014, Ms. Knutson established an Integrative Health center for the underserved in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is the founding executive director (2002-2011) of the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing, Allina Health, Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the time named the largest and most comprehensive integrative health program in the U.S. Ms. Knutson was instrumental in the infrastructure and database development that led to a multi-million National Institutes of Health grant to study integrative pain management in the acute care setting.  She was an invited Delegate to the Global Health Leadership Program, Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. She lectures widely and has co-authored several book chapters and published peer-reviewed articles.
