Registration Process for Accepted Applicants

DHWCT registration is limited to accepted applicants.

Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and require payment in full. Acceptance into the course without registration and payment does not reserve your place in the course. We will offer a waitlist for courses that fill to maximum capacity prior to the registration deadline.

Please see the Upcoming Dates and Deadlines above for courses that are currently registering.

The DHWCT Online Course live webinars are designed to be sequential and full attendance is required. For this reason, you should register for a course in which you can attend all live webinar sessions. In order to receive a certificate of completion and earn continuing education credits, you are required to fully attend each live webinar session. You must also complete all of the online components of the training (Orientation, E-Learnings, Demonstration Videos, you must attend all 4 of the scheduled Mentor Sessions, Course Assessment, Course Evaluation, and Attestation).  If you miss one of the Mentor Sessions, you will be required to pay a missed session fee and will need to reschedule the missed session.

At the time of registration, you will choose a section (day of the week and time of day) and then always come on that day at that time. Due to the experiential nature of the course, practice groups, plans, and appropriate staffing, it is not possible to move between the sections.

DHW Programs reserves the right not to award a certificate of completion and education credits if you do not complete all components of the training.

Registration is available online or by phone. To register online, click on the appropriate registration button located in the blue Program Information box. If you prefer to register by phone, please call 919-660-6826 or 866-313-0959 during business hours and we would be happy to assist!

The course registration fee is $5,500.00 regardless of which format you choose— Distance Learning or Hybrid In-Person & Distance Learning.

Register by the noted early registration deadline to qualify for a 10% discount.

Duke Affiliates* qualify for a 15% discount at the time of their registration. This discount is not eligible to be combined with the early registration discount. Duke Affiliates are defined as Duke Employees, Duke Registered Volunteers, and Duke Students.

*If you are not affiliated with Duke and your employer is paying your program fee, please contact the DHW Programs Team at DHWprograms@duke.edu after you application has been approved to let us know so that we can ensure payment is processed in a timely manner.
